How Creators are Making $10,000+ on Launch Days

You’ve spent months perfecting your product.

It’s LAUNCH DAY finally!!!

And you hope to hit the BIG revenue milestone.

But you get some sales and that’s it.

The problem isn’t your product, it’s your launch.

You’ve spent months on the product…

The launch deserves some preparation too.

And more so, your ecosystem needs to be prepared for a viral launch day.

Before we start, I want to show what’s possible and what creators have achieved -

Let’s get going now!

Here are 5 critical components for a successful digital product launch -

1. Landing Page

A Converting Landing Page is a part of your product.

But just to reiterate — Have a persuasive landing page.

You might get 1000 views but if only 2 people buy — everything’s a waste.

It doesn’t matter how good your product is if your “to-be customer” doesn’t believe so.

A simple flow for your landing page

  • Pain — Amplify the pain
  • Problem — State the problem
  • A bold statement — Position your product as the problem solver
  • Who is this for/not for — Make your reader go ‘This is me’
  • Contents — List down the sections
  • How it helps — Finally conclude
  • Testimonials — Show that people trust you
  • CTA — Ask them to click
  • Guarantee — Make it risk proof

Here is an example of a landing page I wrote that converts 7%

If you want to go in-depth on how to write a converting landing page without being a copywriter, here’s a Landing Page Guide.

2. Upsell Sequence

100 people might buy your product…

But they will forget about it the next day.

That’s why follow-up emails are essential.

Everyone forgets the customer when they get money in their account..but if you remember them, guide them- they’ll remember you.

Use the follow-up emails for your buyers to

  • Guide them further.
  • Tell them success stories.
  • Ask for feedback.
  • Invite them to your newsletter.

Not only that, you can sell them a higher priced product/service.

It’s easy to sell them again if they have bought your product or services once.

The trust is already there.

So build a 3–5 email sequence.

Here’s a small roadmap -

  1. Email 1 — Thanks + freebie
  2. Email 2 — Give them value
  3. Email 3 — Offer with a story
  4. Email 4 — More value and guidance
  5. Email 5 — Last offer

Here’s a thread that helps you write one-

3. Testimonials

100 people may buy your product.

But that 100 needs to turn into 1000.

And for that, you need testimonials.

Have a system to continually collect testimonials from your customers.

Here are some ideas -

  1. Ask for a rating

At the end of your video course/ebook, ask them to rate your product on the platform they bought from.

It’s a one-minute task but the platform will boost you if you get a lot of ratings.

2. Email / DM them

Send them an email or DM, 3–4 days after they have bought your product. Ask them to give you a little review.

You can even give a template or a set of questions to help them write one.

Once you have collected enough, show them off on your product page!

Display Testimonials

4. Prelaunch Love

Ask for love BEFORE the launch.

You need people to share your tweet or post when you launch.

Send DMs to your best online friends or followers a day before the launch.

It’s much better than texting them the second you launch.

DM’s after-launch feels spammy.

Instead, tell them you’ll launch the next day and if they’d be willing to give you a boost or a shoutout.

As soon as you go live, share it with them.

You need all the eyes you can!

5. Scarcity

Everything is set.

The launch tweet is ready to go.

But you could still turn up the heat by deadlines and scarcity.

Here are some ideas -

1. Have a FLASH SALE

The easiest way — 20% FLASH SALE discount on the LAUNCH DAY.

It’s simple, it works.

2. Have limited discounts

30% discount for first 50 sales

3. Price increase after X sales

It’s the same thing worded differently — and gives a different kind of FOMO.

People have a tendency to avert loss, so the price increase angle works.

You could take it further by having limited sales at particular prices like..

First 10 sales — $50

Next 20 — $75

Next 20 — $100

Next $20 — $125

Then, $150

It keeps the FOMO high

Bonus Tip

If you’re launching on social media,

Share your wins LIVE

When you hit the first sale, grab a screenshot and share it.

When you hit a small milestone, share.

When other’s see it selling, they’d want to check it out.

Everyone wants what others are having.

So live tweet your wins and shoutouts.

To Recap

  1. Have a persuasive landing page
  2. Have an email sequence
  3. A system for testimonials
  4. Pre-launch LOVE
  5. SALES

That’s it for the day.

Go LAUNCH IT and I hope you have a successful one :)
